I really wanted to avoid the terrible top-down fluorescent classroom. I wanted the lighting to be more directional and natural, like as seen in these movie/tv inspirations.

Also, because we were shooting over the course of two days at different times of day, I needed to keep the lighting consistent throughout in multiple classroom environments.
